I have to admit though, I do the same thing. Yes, I am a grammar nazi. It is my mom's fault. She was an English major, and insisted on correcting our homework before we turned it in. If there were any mistakes we had to do it all over again. My English prof in college was even worse. He would return letters that people wrote to him with corrections in red.
As an adult I have come to appreciate the benefits of being able to write well, even if I still don't appreciate the methods by which the ability was obtained.
