Chris Says This is Perfect

My friend Chris called this photo perfect. I don't know if it's perfect, but it's nice to hear that.

Oddly, I took this photo some time ago, and didn't think much of it. Probably a good idea to review one's work from time to time.

There is the neon face, two silhouette faces in front and then the great negative space shape thanks to the proximity of the two faces. Even in total darkness, you can easily tell the two people are happy and smiling. The man is still and the woman is in motion. It make it seem as if she is rushing to him. The hot red/orange color makes me "feel" their "hot" mood.

If you had snapped this photo a few seconds early/late or had been standing a few steps to the left/right, this photo may not have come out.

I just love it. When i see a great photo, I have an emotion reaction and an intellectual reaction. My emotion reaction is described above (see "hot" comment). My intellectual reaction is simple: I wish I had shot that photo.

What Chris said.

Plus I like the imagery of the milkman running away in the background. I think it brings a whole deeper level to the mix. He is smiling as well, you see. :)

Anyways, I love the picture. It's interesting and dramatic. I like!
