Fork This

I'm in a photography Meet Up group that holds a photography challenge each month. This month's challenge had to be a "black and white abstract." I know about as much about abstracts as I do about urinary tracts. However, this is one of the images I'm thinking about submitting.

Many years ago I did a whole series of pics along this line using a nickel-plated Colt .45 (which I never should have parted with). For some of them I used a black bakground, which gave the shots a whole different mood. It almost felt like a negative when you looked at it. Shiny silver is great to work with in B/W, especially close up. Very versatile...it just seems to integrate itself into whatever environment you have it in. Great choice!
